VÄVERSUNDA - omma
This choir work is built by two oposing choirs. The first one was made by chance at the Museum of Work in Norrköping where the visitors in sole action took a deep breath, picked a free note and sung the letter O or M until they had to inhale again. A sonic scribble board and requiem in remembrance of burned libraries was formed. This time professional singers at Vadstena music College contributed and performed the letter A shaping a simple chord. Together with the recycled O.M. from 1997 the word constructed is OMMA which according to legends was a prehistoric heathnic queen in the surroundings of Omberg. The clash between religions is as well very obvious and inspiring if you study the famous pictures on the entrance door of Väversunda |
